OAI8, the 8th Workshop on Innovations in Scholarly Communication will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from Wednesday 19th to Friday 21st June 2013. The event is a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and contact details with a large public connected to the OA movement. The OAI workshops are a series of the most important international meetings in this field and take place roughly every two years. Once in two years, OAI8 is going to be held at Geneva. I attended to the 7th workshop (OAI7) for poster presentations.

At OAI7 we had a good time with colleagues from Europe.

had drink w/ Imma Subirats in front of her poster. #oai7

I am eager to take part in OAI8, to meet colleagues and become new friends! Of course,
hanging up is not the only purpose. 🙂 OAI8 features some sessions
about altmetrics, which I am particularly
interested in, makes me looking forward to.

New areas to be discussed at OAI8 will be
Alternative Metrics and a special focus on Scholarly Communication
developments in the Arts and Humanities. CERN workshop on Innovations in Scholarly
